Product: Germix Disinfection Cabinet (Model: DF-2001)

Hazard: The product presents a high risk of fire as the fuse was not supplied with any granular filler.

Corrective action: The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.

The fuse provided in the product plug was not supplied with any granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions. Therefore, if a fault were to occur, the product could overheat and cause a fire. The fuse was also shorter and thinner than required, and had end caps which were not secured.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
